What should I wear and bring to my first class?

Accepted Answer

Come as you are, just aim for comfortable, stretchy clothing you can move in (leggings, joggers, fitted tee/tank, cap, doo rag/bonnet ). Avoid anything super loose or with big zippers/buttons that might catch on the equipment.
You’ll want:
 • Grip socks (for safety + hygiene on the reformer)
 • Water bottle

If you forget something, don’t panic, just come in. We’ll get you settled and let you know what to have ready next time.

Question 2

I’m brand new to Pilates—what should I expect in my first session?

First: Welcome! I am so glad you are here. Pilates at Kenetic is beginner-friendly and highly modifiable.
In your first session, we’ll:
 • Talk briefly about your body, work, and any old injuries
 • Walk you through exercises on each piece of Pilates equipment, including the reformer 
 • Offer options so you can choose the level that feels right for that day
You may feel your muscles working in new ways—that “shaky” feeling is usually your stabilizing muscles waking up, not you “doing it wrong.” Some mild soreness after is normal, like “I used my body on purpose,” not “I can’t walk.” You’re always encouraged to speak up, slow down, or pause.

Question 3

What is your cancellation and no-show policy?

Accepted Answer

I know life happens, kids, work, traffic, all of it. At the same time, each spot is limited, and your instructor prepares for you.
Right now, Kenetic uses a [6]-hour cancellation window for classes.
 • Cancel before that window: your session will be credited back to you with no fee.
 • Cancel inside that window, or don’t attend class: the session is charged or deducted from your package.

This policy helps keep the schedule fair for everyone and allows waitlisted clients a chance to move into open spots. If you’re ever unsure what to do, reach out, we’ll talk it through.

Question 4

How do your pricing options work—drop-ins, packages, and memberships?

Think of it this way:
 • Drop-ins are best if you’re trying Kenetic for the first time or dropping in every now and then.
 • Packages (like 4-packs or 8-packs) are for people who want consistency and a bit of savings without a full membership commitment.
 • Memberships are for folks who know they want Pilates as a regular part of their week and want the best value per session, plus priority booking and member perks.

Question 5

Can you work with injuries or chronic conditions, and what makes Kenetic different from other Pilates studios?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Most of Kenetic clients come in with real bodies and real histories, joint pain, old injuries, arthritis, autoimmune conditions, postpartum changes, and more. My background blends comprehensive Pilates training with experience in healthcare, so I’m used to working alongside doctors, PTs, and other providers, always within my scope of practice.

We modify movements, adjust spring loads, and offer alternatives so you can participate safely and still feel challenged. I always aim to meet you where you are in every class.

What makes Kenetic different is the lens: I don’t just see “a workout”; I see movement as public health and generational wellness. We’re not chasing punishment or perfection; we’re building strong, mobile, grounded bodies you can actually live in, for work, for home, and for the people coming after you.
